Did you know that you will probably fail miserably at the thing you were meant to do in life? Oprah Winfrey wasn’t the first pick for The Color Purple, Micheal Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team, Les Brown was labeled mentally retarded, and Lisa Nicoles was told that she was a horrible public speaker. They were all met by what I call Murphy’s Committee.
There is a Murphy’s Committee assigned to you from the very day of your conception. Their goal is to block you from achieving your goals and to hinder your success. The first thing that Murphy’s Committee will attack is your faith in yourself.
One tactic of this secret committee is to make you fall asleep in a field of poppies by making you so comfortable in just getting by in your life, that you don’t reach for anything more. This tactic works on about 90% of the population.
Yet those who try to reach beyond the norm are in for a rude awakening as Murphy’s committee will throw all kinds of tactics at you to get you to quit. The goal is to weigh you down with so much fear and turmoil that it penetrates your mentality and detours you from a new reality. When truthfully, its all up to you. Fear has no power over you unless you allow it to reign in your life. Regardless of how scary things look you should plunge forward.
You’re worth more than you think you are. If you weren’t, there wouldn’t be a fight for your destiny. Unfortunately, if you don’t fight to find out who you are and what you’re supposed to be doing in life, you’ll never discover your greatness nor will you get to live it out. Sometimes it’s easy to pinpoint what it is. All you have to do is think back to what you enjoyed doing as a child but often failed at it.
What were you told you were no good at doing? It’s funny to believe that it’s probably what you should be doing. You’re an extraordinary human being, but it’s up to you to believe that about yourself. When you believe in yourself, you’ll become everything you were meant to be. When you are the best you ever, you become that bridge of transformational change for others to cross into their destiny. You are a vital part of someone else success.
I encourage you to watch the video below. In the video, Olympia LePoint talks about the most crucial factors that changed her life. She discusses how she went from failing math to becoming a rocket scientist. The dream of being a rocket scientist began when she was a little girl. She had vowed to prevent disasters like the 1986 Challenger Spaceship Disaster. During that disaster, the astronauts had survived the explosion but later drowned after their space bubble hit the ocean floor.
In the video, LePoint talks about how she wanted to make a difference in situations like that. She reveals how she conditioned her mind to reach her goal by reading books and believing in herself. You don’t want to miss this amazing talk, because it will change your entire world.
